Narrative:
The Redwood Recreation Center was built in 1975 and was originally meant to house a number of social services programs as well as a recreational facility. After over 30 years of service, this recreation center is in need of upgrades and renovations to meet current programming needs, building code requirements and energy efficiency standards as set forth by the County Council.
Renovation and repairs of the plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems will enable this facility to conserve energy. Existing program spaces including the kitchen, pottery room, and storage will be modified to accommodate larger programs to better serve community needs. Upgrades and renovations to the existing site and building will ensure that this facility will continue to meet the needs of the community and offer programs for years to come.
